Responsibilities

-We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to work with detail engineering in a large project for an unmanned operated offshore wind substation (HVDC) within the telecom discipline.
-You will join a major green field project and will have the opportunity to develop his/her skills within telecommunication systems design in a HVDC converter station and personal skills in a large international project-working environment.
-Define and specify design solutions for required telecom sub systems.
-Follow up telecom vendors and vendors technical documentation.
-Interface to other disciplines, suppliers, other installations, and client.
-Develop engineering documents and update data registers.
-Participate in relevant test activities, workshops and reviews.
-Site support to fabrication yard

Required expertise

-Master, or Bachelor degree or relevant technical education.
-Ex course
-FSE course
-Long relevant practical experience may outweigh and compensate for a lack of formal education.
-Minimum 5 years’ experience from Telecom engineering and telecom system design activities within greenfield oil and gas or wind projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.
-Experience and deep knowledge of telecom design according to relevant standards such as 
-NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNVGL and IEC.
-Cooperative working attitude and acceptance for multicultural team environment
-A natural team player but possess the ability to work independently.
-Systematic and accurate, with high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements
-Proactive, seeking advice and share own experiences with others.
-Innovative approach, eager to improve methodology and solutions.
-Ability to understand and implement requirements stated in new standards.
-Knowledge of Norwegian language would be advantageous.
Language: Efficient communicator, who communicates well in English - Both orally and in writing
