This position will be a member of the Instrument Engineering team in company and will be seconded to project-Asset. The position reports daily to the project Asset Engineering manager. The main purpose of this role is to be the Instrument equipment specialist, and the role also contributes within the Automation discipline. Providing engineering support and acting as a discipline expert for Instrument engineering activities, that increase equipment reliability and plant uptime are key tasks in the role. In the project phase, the main tasks will be to prepare for taking over the system and equipment from the project, establish good handover plans, and carry out verification of quality against specifications. Further there are possibilities for continuing in the project base asset organization from 2029.

Responsibilities

-Responsible for field instrumentation and field equipment for safety systems
-Technical discipline responsible for barrier functions for instrumented systems
-Operational procedures owner
-Prepare for taking over equipment from project. 
-Secure necessary tools and frameworks are established for operations phase.
-Secure compliance and continuous improvement of operational procedures. 
-Implementation Responsibilities for Process Owners
-Ensure that the established work practices and procedures for offshore work are delivered with the expected quality.
-Contribute to digitalization of operational procedures through the PXO system portal project as required.
-Secure a good cooperation with critical suppliers and contractors.

Required expertise

-Bachelor within relevant discipline. 
-Relevant experience can compensate for education. 
-Minimum 7 years’ experience within technical field/discipline 
-Experience from the project is preferred  
-The successful applicant will be given the necessary training to succeed.
-You are a self-starter and able to work independently. 
-You have an interest in how data can be made available, interpreted, visualized, and used as a basis for various recommendations and decisions.
Language: Fluent abilities in English and Norwegian, both verbal and written
