Material coordinator/logistics

Responsibilities

-Material Administration & Start-up Activities: Identify project logistics needs and establish the necessary strategies, including SAP configuration, procurement templates, warehouse coordination, subcontractor management, reporting routines, freight forwarding needs, customs handling, and transportation costs.
-Free Issue Materials Coordination: Ensure controlled handling of materials from delivery to utilization for their intended purpose.
-Transportation Management: Develop a responsibility matrix for material release and finalize agreements with freight forwarders.
-Material Availability Monitoring: Track material balances by type and task to maintain workflow according to plan.
-Project Closure: Conduct material reconciliation at the procurement package and project levels.
-Surplus Management: Identify and recommend surplus handling strategies, ensuring approval by relevant material owners (typically Customers or Project Managers).
-SAP Closing: Participate in project closure activities, clearing out logistic purchase orders, stock transfer orders, requisitions, stock balances, and reservations.

Required expertise

-Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related fields (Relevant experience and commitment may compensate for formal education).
-Strong commercial awareness, professionalism, and ability to work independently as a team player.
-A flexible, positive, and collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Language: Excellent oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
