We are looking for a skilled and proactive Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for Rotary / Static Equipment to support one of our major projects (TBA). In this role, you will be responsible for the complete technical follow-up of equipment packagesfrom specification and procurement to manufacturing, testing, delivery, and final handover. This includes acting as the main technical liaison between suppliers, engineering disciplines, procurement, and the client. The role demands strong coordination skills, a solid technical background, and the ability to manage risks and interfaces across all phases of project execution.
Responsibilities
-Act as the technical lead for rotary equipment packages such as compressors, pumps, turbines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and other mechanical/static items.
-Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, and procurement packages.
-Lead technical evaluations and support procurement during bidding and supplier selection.
-Ensure supplier deliverables comply with applicable codes, project specifications, and client requirements.
-Follow up on supplier progress, documentation, quality control, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
-Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
-Participate in technical clarification meetings, design reviews, and risk assessments.
-Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and handover phases.
-Maintain thorough documentation and regularly update progress reporting systems.
-Complete and accurate technical procurement documentation for all equipment packages.
-Timely review and approval of supplier documents and drawings.
-Effective follow-up on fabrication, FAT, and delivery schedules in alignment with project milestones.
-Coordination and resolution of technical issues across disciplines and suppliers.
-Compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
-Supervision and technical guidance of 12 junior or supporting engineers assigned to the package.
-Regular progress reporting and risk assessments related to package scope.

Required expertise
-Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
-Extensive relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
-10 years of experience as package engineer within energy or oil & gas projects.
-Solid understanding of international standards such as API, ISO, ASME,...
-Knowledge of Danish legislation and offshore regulations is an advantage.
-Familiarity with DNV standards is highly valued, but not an absolute requirement.
-Experience with EPC and EPCIC project models and supplier follow-up across engineering and execution phases.
-Ability to work independently and collaboratively across disciplines and vendors.
